Trick-or-Treat

The neighborhood kids got together in their costumes a couple days before to celebrate!


Chance helped this year with our annual pumpkin carving. We only carved 2 of our 4 family pumpkins because the others were frozen solid from our recent cold snap.


We took Chance trick-or-treating to the houses around us. He wanted to get in the wagon to ride from one house to the next, silly I know. But he got the idea of going to the door, knocking and expecting some treats. We worked on saying trick-or-treat for days before the big day, but he never said it. Next year I guess. It was so cute having the boys all dressed up with all the neighbor friends.

What we've been up to...

The past few months have been such a blur. I feel awful for not posting more pictures of the boys, but man they're keeping us busy! Chance is a little wild man climbing everywhere and trying to free fall from one piece of furniture to another. Carson (or peanut as he's usually referred to these days) started out being a fussy baby, but is now pretty mellow. He's been smiling and laughing more and more which is such a joy!! He's even had a few really good nights of sleep, which is a big improvement from the every 1 1/2-2 hour feeding marathon he was on for the first couple months. I have such a new perspective on parents with several kids. It really is a juggling act.

Carson has arrived!

After 3 weeks of being in the hospital I finally got to bring my healthy baby boy home. We were simply overjoyed! We took hundreds of pictures but selected a few to post to show off our newest addition. He is a spitting image of Jon already. Carson Jack was born August 2, 2011 at 11:44am. 6#6oz and 20 1/4 inches (good size for 36 wks!) Thank you all for your prayers and praise God for our sweet baby!

One of the best memories of being in the hospital was when Chance would visit we'd have picnics on the bed. He always made a mess and I would need some clean sheets after his visit :)
