Easter 2012

This Easter, Jon was out of town (and very missed) but I couldn't help but feel an overwhelming sense of gratitude for God's abundant blessings! I really enjoyed celebrating with the boys. I want to start stressing the importance of Easter this year, even though they are still so young. I read them the story of Jesus' crucifixion on Good Friday (from their children's bible book.) And then first thing Easter morning we read about the resurrection! Then we got to celebrate with a yummy breakfast and gifts in their basket. What fun! Thank you to Gunny for their musical bunnies and to Mimi and Pops for the Bambi DVD. I added that to their baskets too.
I really want to make each holiday so special filled with happy memories!




Ready for church...



We didn't get Chance with the Easter bunny this year. He is still VERY terrified of people in costume. He is still talking about that silly rabbit....saying, "No, Rabbit." I did manage to get Carson with the Easter Bunny at the egg hunt here in the neighborhood.

Carson is 8 months old and getting very close to crawling. He goes from sitting up to all fours and just rocks back and forth. I keep getting excited because I know he's gonna take off, but not yet.

Milestone pictures

Well, I was a little late getting Carson's 6 month milestone picture, so really he's 7 months and Chance is 2 years old. My neighbor is starting to do photography professionally and was sweet enough to capture my cutie pies on camera! I wanted to share a few.
Every time I look at this pic I just think, I'm so in love! I can just hear Carson's laughter!

Chance was more interested in playing than having his picture taken. The only way to get him off his tricycle was to go on a bear hunt. (It's one of his favorite books.) We couldn't find the bear so we decided he was sleeping....hence the "shhh" picture.

Chance is 2!

We had Chance's 2nd birthday party. It was a race car party with kids riding on cars all over outside. Chance had a blast!! Seems like he turned 2 and so many things changed. His vocabulary -- using tons of new words, phrases and sentences too! He went pee pee on the potty and he seemed to kick up his temper tantrums a couple notches. He is still a little giggle box most of the time though!

As for Carson-- my baby is growing so fast. I catch myself wondering where the last 7 months have gone. I feel like I spent so much of it just trying to keep my head above water. Now that he's sleeping better and we have a better routine life seems to be slowing down! I'm thankful for this because it's allowing me to just enjoy the simple moments with my boys!
