Belly Pics and Summer Fun!

Today we are officially 30 weeks! Carson seems to be strong and active! (Especially at night --punching, kicking, twisting and turning!) I think this little one may have his days and nights confused like his brother did at birth.
I do love this point in pregnancy because I can finally distinguish some body parts (his bottom mostly.) It's fun to pat his little bottom and see my belly moving around :)

Chance has been enjoying his summer so far too! We started him at The LIttle Gym and he's loving it! The teacher commented on what a "little ham" he was...dancing and laughing...trying to be the absolute center of attention! Most of the other kids seemed to be more subdued. I guess I always assume all kids are as wild as Chance, but they sure aren't. These are the best pics I could get of my boy on the move.

We've been going to the community pool a lot too. Chance seems to prefer playing in the big pool with us. Here he is taking a quick breather from play time. Funny that he loves having his hat and sunglasses on all the time....even inside.

We also headed to Fairfax to play in the fountains. Chance was timid at first, but once he saw some bigger kids playing in the water he tried it out too. It was loads of fun! They had a band playing too, so Chance would stand in the fountains and bounce to the music. And when he'd run away from the fountains he'd wave to the crowd. Everyone seemed to get a kick out of his "performance." Too funny! We topped the event off with a delicious cupcake! Since Jon was out of town we will have to take him along next time for a belated Father's Day celebration!

Carson's Nursery

We finished the nursery for our new son and wanted to share some of the pictures. Hope to add a few other decorative items eventually as well as pictures in the picture frames....but for now it's ready for baby.

After Jon and I went round and round with names for our first son we both wanted to come to an agreement on this child's name. His name is Carson Jack. Since Jon picked Chance's middle name (Major- after Jon's wonderful grandfather) I decided on Carson's middle name. Jack is after my Dad. He was my Dad-- not because he had to be, but because he chose to be.
Carson has become very active, especially at night! Lots of gymnastics! Between the constant movements, frequent potty trips and heartburn God is preparing me for less sleep in the months to come!
Like I said from the beginning... this pregnancy is totally different than my previous one! I guess that trend is going to continue. I still have a complete placenta previa and therefore will have a c-section around 38 weeks. PLEASE pray for a complication-free rest of the pregnancy and delivery and most of all a HEALTHY, TERM baby! Also, for the doctor's and staff who will take care of us. I've never had major surgery before and am obviously nervous about the possible complications with that.

Chance is as wild as ever! Constantly going! He seems to be learning new words all the time. Today is was "shoe." He can follow simple requests majority of the time. My sweet little boy has also picked up a little bit of a temper. If he has his mind set on something and you get in his way...he'll let you know! It's so strange how just recently when I look at him I see such a little boy, not just my baby. Completely amazing how quickly they grow up!!!

Some pictures of our trip into DC. We had lunch at Lafayette Park (next to the White House.) Chance has great fun running after the ducks and squirrels. Sorry I didn't get better pictures.
